Kohsar Children's Academy
Our Curriculum

We, at Kohsar Children's Academy pride ourselves on our unique curriculum which is developed by our founder/director based on her 35+ years of teaching experience . This unique curriculum comprises of books, worksheets and workbooks developed and printed at Kohsar Children's Academy, which have been adapted from the best curriculum books around the world. The curriculum is designed to trigger creative thinking and a conceptual understanding of subjects instead of encouraging Rote Learning.

PROJECT BASED LEARNING

KCA teaching methodology focuses on learning by doing. Facts are not drummed into a child's head; instead, a project emerges that will help the child achieve certain learning objectives. Although special emphasis is put on learning by doing however our teaching methodology remains three pronged :

    1.   Concrete

    2.   Pictorial

    3.   Abstract

PERFORMING ARTS

The performing arts (drama and theater in particular) naturally integrate into Reggio Emilia Teaching approach thus performing arts are deemed integral part of the curriculum at KCA. Regular events are conducted in this regard whereby students are encouraged to express themselves through performing arts.

ARTS & CRAFTS

The students at KCA are offered to take part in art studio activities complete with easel, modeling clay and other art and craft resources. KCA encourages students to go beyond basic drawing and painting and hopes to explore any facets of the arts such as sculpture, print making, ceramics etc. In this regards, students are taught artistic styles of famous artists and encouraged to come up with their own implementation of the same.

INDIVIDUAL GUIDANCE

At Kohsar Children's Academy we encourage independence, confidence and ambition in all our students. As counselors, our teachers play a pivotal role in giving individual quality time to all our students. What particularly helps is that we have a student to teacher ratio of 10 to 1 with all classes having less than 30 students, hence ensuring that each student gets the individual attention that they require.
