Kohsar Children's Academy was established by our Director Syeda Abida Hussain, who came across the nascent concept of Reggio Emilia method of teaching, during her visit overseas. Enamored by the concept, our director started the school as a Pre - Nursery Institution from a single room and 10 students. The school became an instant success as all of the students of the first batch were selected in Army Burn Hall School in class prep. 40 years on, Kohsar Children's Academy is considered to be the premier school in Mansehra and first choice amongst parents who value their Children's education and development. Today, Kohsar Children's Academy, is reputed for providing essential academic discipline and promoting an innovative learning methodology of project based learning. It is a partnership of students, staff and parents united by the common value for excellence in education. The school sets high academic and behavioral standards, which are challenging yet attainable. Kohsar Children's Academy offers project based learning starting from Pre School to Grade 8 and plans to expand till FSC once our new purpose based campus is completed. The students of our school are consistently admitted into the most prestigious public schools and cadet colleges, often by securing top positions in the entry tests. The principal of a renowned public school once called our Director and inquired as to how do we prepare our students for the admission tests. Our Director replied, "It is not my aim to prepare my students for any entry test, I just ensure that they become independent thinkers and learners by affording them a chance to learning by doing."
